Who We Are
"Plant-based comfort food for everyone."
V-Trap Kitchen & Lounge is more than a kitchen; it's a place for people to feel free to be themselves and share ideas. Healthy food should be reasonably priced and taste delicious! We chose the Westside of Wilmington as our home because we believe it's the perfect place to foster these ideas within our community.
Our food is an eclectic mix of multiple regions and traditions including Classic American, Italian, Mexican, and Indian. Come here and find a healthier version of all your favorite foods. Whether you are looking for a quick meal on-the-go, meeting with a friend or need a space to work alone, we are here to satisfy your body and mind. Check out our special events page for more info on weekend social events.
The Owners: Milton & Kristin
Milton and Kristin share 4 daughters together ranging in age from three to fifteen. As many of you may know, it can be difficult to maintain a healthy lifestyle while continuing to spend time with your family. Together, Milton and Kristin identified a problem many of us have - finding healthy food on-the-go. This is where the idea of a food truck came about and the evolution of Nude Food. As the idea continued to grow, they wanted to build a place where other chefs and small business owners could expand on their own dreams all while creating a comfortable place for people in the community to come together and “break bread”.
Kristin began working in the restaurant industry at the age of 14. She did everything from bus tables to prep food and cook on the grill. Although she had a scholarship to attend Johnson and Wales University, she opted to obtain her Master's in Business and attend Virginia Polytechnic and State University. She then went on to obtain a Master’s in Education which allowed her to teach in the city of Wilmington for several years prior to managing their food truck, Nude Food.
Milton has been playing sports since the age of 8. After attending college at Miami University of Ohio, he was signed to play professional football with the Bengals. He has been a personal trainer, focusing on body dynamics and proper nutrition, for the last 10 years. He also spent the last several years teaching and coaching local youth in the City of Wilmington.
